Every year, GCA celebrates a number of events that are a mix of Gujarati cultural heritage festivals and Canadian traditions. Here are the key festivals:
- Navratri is celebrated with live musical group. Community comes together to dance the night with Garba, Dandia, Aarti,
- Diwali is celebrated with Rangoli competition, entertainment program, catered dinner, and dance floor after dinner.
- Summer picnic is celebrated in Waterloo Park, with a full day of fun and frolic in open space, usually Waterloo Park.
- South Asian Sports Day organized in Summer. This is a new event starting 2018
- NEW – 2020, Excellence in Education Scholarship program for members children entering the first year of University or College.
